Dell Phot 924 printer not printing in colour
I have a Dell Photo 924 all in one printer. Each time I try to change the cartridges it does not seem to recognise that the colour cartridge has been changed and continues to tell me that ink is low and does not print colour very well. I have bought 3 colour cartridges and each time it still does not think a new cartridge has been installed. The black one is okay and the ink levels are recognised as full when I change this one. Any ideas? Does the printer need a clean or do you think I have a major problem??

While I'm not familiar with your specific printer, in general I would look at the contacts inside the printer (in that little bucket where the cartridge snaps in to) and make sure they are clean and undamaged. A slightly damp paper towel is all that is needed.

Also, are you using genuine cartridges, or refills? There could be an issue with refilled cartridges not working.

    I hope this helps,

Canon USB Printer Hangs XP Boot on Dell [ 2 Answers ]

My Canon MP 390 USB Printer hangs XP boot on a Dell 8300. Boots fine with printer not hooked-up. Boots with other USB devices. All USB hubs show up in Device Manager. Clean re-load of XP, SP2 and current BIOS don't help. Maybe an IRQ conflict? Or What?
