    new expanded liner
I have a 18x36 doughboy with a "Hung Beaded Liner" I would like to know if I can switch this out to a expanded liner. If I can't use the expanded with the hung bead can I change the pool liner system to a overlap liner - just cause I think it's a stronger hold- but I could be wrong & if I am PLEASE tell me so.
    thanks in advance!

I have installed a great many above ground pools and would have to sheepishly admit I have no a clue what you are talking about. What is the Hung Beaded Liner?

What is the Hung Beaded Liner? Basically it's a J channel that goes around the inside of the pool & holds the liner up. The J channel is one continuous channel that lets you just hook the liner on. I'm concerned because it just doesn't seem to be a strong hold.
    Thanks for your quick reply.

The channel I have installed is U shaped and fits over the top edge of the wall. I would not worry. Once the pool is filled there is only about 12" of liner above without any real force trying to pull it down.
