    Blower problems
My heat pump has intermittent problem. In the ac mode every once in a while the blower motor fails to come on. When this happens I turn the switch to heat and turn the thermostat all the way up the blower comes on. I then turn it back to cool turn the thermostat down and it stays on and cycles fine. Sometimes it will do this once or twice a day sometimes once a week. All works fine in heat mode. Thanks for any help

Sounds like you have a defective or intermittent blower relay.

It is not strange. In the heat mode a different relay setup is used.

Jl the model number on my unit is PHJ048-1A I doubt your lucky enough to have the same model but here is the name of the part it is called a time delay relay I had to get mine from a local hvac supplier I never came up with a concrete test for the relay I just eliminated other items based on my wiring diagram. If you are going to replace this yourself be sure the power is OFF before working on it. Maybe these other guys on the board have a method of testing your relay that will verify if that's the problem. Im going to copy this answer to your other post as well. Post back and let me know if you have the exact model that would be one in a million. GOOD LUCK, AC
