Some women will experience a hyperstimulation of the ovaries (can happen even with proper use)... this may result in cysts developing and can be painful. You are often monitored by your doctor, although not all do so. This includes occasional ultrasounds and adjusting dosage as necessary. Usually it is recommended to only use it for several cycles and then possible alternatives may be suggested, such as injectionable fertility drugs.
