I don't want to bother everyone with another hey... am I pregnant question but I do have a question that is kind of like that. I have some symptoms of being pregnant like sore breast, cramping, last night I wanted ice cream and as soon as I tasted it, I didn't want it anymore. (my fav ice cream!) my lower abdomen is tighter than normal and the areola is looking a little darker than before. Oh and I've been going to the bathroom an un-natural amount of times. All these things my husband and I noticed separately and I suddenly put it all together yesterday. Well of course we went out and bought an early response pregnancy test and negative. I took one this morning and it was negative.
Then... sorry this is the important and potentially gross part... I thought I had started my period. I was kind of bummed because of all the signs pointing to yes and knew I probably was taking the test too early. Just now I went to go and change the tampon and it was not all that dirty. Just a little brown stuff and on the tip it was a little redder with mucous stuff on the end. Is that the implantation bleeding I've heard so much about? That was one major sign I had not seen.

Answers to questions you will probably ask. We've had un protected sex for the last two weeks or so. Period not due for about 4 or 5 days. I'm 23.

If I were you I would just wait a week and take another HPT, and treat your body as if you are pregnant, just in case you are. Good Luck!

Sounds promising... :) Since you have several days to go still before your period is due, it likely was too early for testing to know for sure. Like Ang8318 said, give it some more time... see what happens with your period and test again if need be. Fingers crossed!

Once again kind of gross but it's been about 4 hours since the spotting and it's for sure not my period. There is nothing else coming out so I assume it's spotting. Never had that happen before. Thanks for the advice. I'll keep everyone posted.

Is spotting more than once normal? The same thing as last time happened and it is already gone. Sorry to seems so paranoid but this would be my first pregnancy.

No need to be sorry... even when someone has been pregnant numerous times, things come up that cause concern. You don't know if you don't ask!. :)

It could be your period is getting close to start, could be possible implantation, could be from recent intercourse, could be from hormone changes. Hopefully it will be the second possibility... :)

OK. This is the third time I spotted but this time there was a little more and it was redder. Is this normal? I'm cramping. But no sharp pains.
