    Low air pressure causes air to rise and potentially mix with warmer air which produces thunderstorms according to meteorologists.

    In addition to what was said above, you can also have clouds and precipitation with high pressure; in the case of a "dirty high".

    The first answer is wrong. Low pressure causes air to rise and cool, not to mix with warm air.
