    what are proportions
    what's a proportion? And how do u use them in a math equation?and give me the slow kid answer if u know what I mean!

    You must know what a portion is!
    Then proportion is a portion of the whole.
    One quarter of a cake is a portion.
    It is got at by cutting the cake in half and cutting the half again in in two pieces.
    You finish up with four portions and every one
    Is one quarter proporion of the whole cake.
    In mathematics we use the word fraction ,
    This represents the exact size of the proportion.
