    Well, an essay can be about anything... a review of a book, an essay of something that happened to a kid while he was at grandma's house, or about the force of gravity that hits a bowling ball.

    A thesis is usually pretty long... I've seen them range anywhere from 40 - 120 pages... they usually involve a question, an analysis of literary and scholarly journals, and a conclusion drawn by the writer themselves.

    I'm currently writing my own thesis... 55 pages in... yikes.

    On guy I knew, his thesis was over 400 pages and in multiple volumes.
