How much would a little pool hall make a month
My husband and I are looking into opening a six table pool hall with a snack bar and gaming station. I was wondering if anyone has information on about how much something like that would bring in.

There are always risks involved in starting any business. You could make a lot or just enough to break even to not really making much at all. It's very hard to figure because of all the variables that could be involved. Do you already have a business plan in place? If so, what is in your business plan? Are you going to rent or own the building where this pool hall will be? How many employees, if any, will you have? What kind of advertising will you do? Will the advertising be free, like maybe on the Internet, or that for which you will pay someone else to advertise for you? What kind of prices are you going to charge people? Those are just some of the many questions that you need to ask yourselves.

There is additional information that you might want to check out on the following links:

You really can't ask that question until you have made a plan. Go to the websites above, check out your local SBDC, University business school, and SCORE.org for some help on the plan, at which point you can see if it is financially feasible and has a good enough return on the dollar. I'll tell you right now though, (not to discourage you because I 100% support small-business) if it is going to be mostly leveraged through a bank it will be difficult to get a return worth your time. But plan first and then figure it out.

What part of the world? If in the US, large city, or small town. Have you done any studies of the need for one, any traffic studies of how many people will go past that location.

Most of the pool halls I have known, ( that did not serve drinks) normally did not make money, they were more hobbies done by someone with another job.

But figure on the tables, the average time of a game, the amount of money per game, esp number of tables used during various times of day and on varoius days.

Since it is serving food, it will have to pass all of the county health department codes for food service.
