    Import Licensing for China
    Hello,

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive an "import" license for a business in China, importing from the United States, or perhaps someone might know of a website where I can research it?
    I have tried:
    Export.gov
    Transportation Security Administration
    Bureau of Industry and Security

    Thank you.

Just go talk to a Customs Broker. Look them up in the phone book and they will be able to answer all your questions. To my understanding you only need licensing if you are importing things like dangerous chemicals and other things that would be regulated by the Feds. However, no matter what you import or export, having a good customs broker and freight forwarder on hand will make your life a lot easier.
