I am presuming that you are going to be charging by the square foot. Is that correct? That's how most pros do it. How much is charged by the square foot for a paint job does depend on a lot of factors. Please see the information on the following links concerning that.

    https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/interio...id-195990.html

Around where I live, the average cost is about .70 cents a square foot for only labor for two coats, not including the preparation, priming or the cost of the paint that is used etc. That is also for a perfectly smooth and flat surface and the paint would be cut in with a brush and rolled on the walls and ceilings. If you are planning to spray, then that would be a different price. I much prefer to lay paint on in some way on wood rather than spraying because the paint seems to adhere better and the paint job lasts longer.

For trim, around where I live, the average cost is about $1.20 per linear foot for two coats that would be applied with a brush. And, that is only for the labor.

Adding the variables such as preparation, priming, sanding, texture of the surface to be painted, maybe moving furniture, lawn ornaments, etc. will also add to the cost if painting inside or outside.

I find that asking general contractors of construction is a good way to find out about the prices charged in any given area. Also, paint store employees can be a big help.

If you put the two words painting estimating, into the search rectangle at the top of this page and click on "Search" you will find a lot of threads where paint job estimating and the square foot price is discussed.

I hope that this gives you some idea as to possible prices. The prices will vary greatly depending on where you are located doing the work.
