    Family interfearing
Hi I have a big problem I have been a foster parent for 13 years. Have done very well and have looked after 170 children. My uncle and his wife separated about a year ago. Then he started spending lot of time with my husband and I. He was putting his nose in where it did not belong. We had a falling out and I asked him to leave. He sent me a very horrible e mail and his x wife got a hold of it and her and I don`t see eye to eye and she phoned child protection and said a bunch of horrible things about my husband and I. Plus we have hard copy of e mails Can we sue for defamation of caracter??

If they caused you financial damages you should be able to. As far as the foster program you can explain they are doing things for spite.

Yes, you can prove it lost you money, or the money to cost to correct the issue, you can sue them for that.

    Hello snow:

You're going to need to show the court actual monetary damages - not just what you think it's going to cost you. You do that by showing evidence of somebody NOT hiring you because they heard the defamation.

    That isn't easy to do.
