    My dachshund is sick
Scooby is our dachshund's name. He is wonderful to have around. Yesterday he started coughing and trying to get something out of his throat. When he does get something up it is just white mucus. He isn't eating much and isn't his usually playful self. What can I do for him?

The best thing you can do for your dog at this point is take him to the vet and fast. It could be something that is easy to treat, but it could be something more troublesome. The safest thing to do is to take him to a vet for an examination as soon as possible.

Yet today if you can, and certainly tomorrow morning, unless he is much better, get him to the vet. So many different things have the same symptoms even after examining the dog, sometime the vets can't be sure.
