Control arm bushings on a lexus
Could someone please tell me how to change the control arm bushings on my 93 lexus es300 I have the bushings and I tried to change them but I couldn't get them to come out. Do I need a special tool or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Control arm bushing are usually pressed in with a hydraulic press. They are a bearcat to get out. You will have to saw or pound out the metal center bushing, remove the rubber grommet, and then chisel out the outer metal sleeve. Once that's out, you can press the new ones in place with a U-joint press. Many times it's easier to just replace the control arm.
