    Max and min points
    How do you find the maximum and the minimum point of a qudratic eqaution?:D

    I am going to give you an example, since you did not give us an equation to go with your question.
    f(x)=3x^2 + 12x - 7 ; this is an equation of a parabola ; the parabola opens up since the first term is positive (3x^2) ; this will have a minimum value
    to find the minimum value: solve for your vertex (h,k); h=-b/2a ; where your first term is marked a ; your second term is marked b.
    h=-b/2a
    h=-12/2(3)
    h=-12/6
    h=-2; this is your x
    now to solve for k; just replace your x's in your equation with -2 and solve; k is your y which is -19. y=-19 is your minimum value.
    You can tell whether you will have a minimum or maximum value by your first term; if it is negative (-), then you will have a maximum value; if it is positive (+), then you will have a minimum value.
