    Grass seed For clay
I live in central Wisconsin. We have built a home on a ridge and have nothing but clay for our whole yard. We cannot afford to buy black dirt. Is there a good grass seed for 1.5 acre of yard? Thanks For any advice.

Fescue is supposed to do well in clay soils. Ask someone at a local nursery what works best in your area.

I live in Michigan with 100% clay. I used "tall Fescue" seed and it worked great. Took 2 years to grow in fully but its great now. Very hardy grass too, little work needed once its growing.
