    Primary Residence in Foreign Country
    If your primary residence is outside the United States (Sweden), and you pay U.S. income taxes, is the interest on the mortgage deductible? Seaman in internaltion waters.

    Yes, if the interest and all other itemized deductions exceed the $5,350 standard deduction. This also assumes that you are authorized to claim the standard deduction.
