Unknown brand of fan light cover won't come off.
I bought a house with a nice ceiling fan but no visible brand name anywhere on this fan to identify it and no manual to be found. The bulb recently burned out and the bulb cover will not come off. It seems like it should twist off but even having a person holding and a person twisting... still no movement. Even my handyman can't figure this one out. Any ideas? It appeared to be a halogen bulb if that helps.

Usually you apply pressure and rotate until the glass drops out.

Ceilingfan, Chapman got a picture for you, I knew you catch this later today. Chap just doesn't know how to attach the picture and I'm no help in that area. Can you help with the attachment? Thanks,
Bob

I don't know how to attach either, I usually host them elsewhere.
The picture she emailed is not of the actual fan, but of another fan. That's no help to me.

Here is how I post pictures. Download from camera to desktop. Convert to JPEG format. Click Go Advance, click Manage Attachments, click Browse, find pic then click open, click upload. Then click Submit Answer.
There is a size restriction. If pic won't upload go back and reduce size of pic

Did you try another pic. After you click upload watch to see if was successfully uploaded. The only reason I have seen for not being successful is size.

Glad you can see the pics now. I wonder what brand it is and where it came from. I have had no luck finding it on line or in stores. Hopefully Ceilingfan will recognize it.

Don't know, maybe he brought it with him. Ceilingfan will still be the better expert on this.

I need a ceiling fan light cover
[ 1 Answers ]
I have several apartments and use either Hampton Bay (Home Depot) or Harbor Breeze (Lowes) fans in them. The 2 fans look very similar. I have 2 broken light covers - one of each brand. It has a 9 1/2 inch opening. Every where I have looked I can get 9 or 9 3/4 or 10 inch openings, but not 9 1/2....
