    trying to find x-intercept and y-intercept
    I'm am trying to find the x and y intercept of f(x)=x(squared)-3+1
    how do I come about doing this.:confused:

    The x intercept is where the function intercepts with the x axis, As the x axis is defined by the line y = 0, you can set y to 0 in your equation and then solve for x, this value of x is the x intercept.

    Vice versa for the y intercept.

    And keep in mind that f(x) = y. It looks confusing when written as a function. But the left side of the equal sign is essentially y. So just use a y when doing the solving part and it'll be easier.
