    Hello m:

    Do you mean "worth" as in, how much can you get for it today?? Because you're not going to get the spot price for your gold. Depending on its configuration (bar, chain, coin, jewelry), you'll probably get 50% of the spot price. If its in coin, you'll get more. If its in OLD coins, you could get a lot more.

    I'm assuming since you don't know the exact weight, that the gold is jewelry. Therefore, junk gold jewelry weighing 4.2 grams will probably fetch you $60 bucks at your local coin shop or jewelry store. If its an estate piece, you could get a lot more.

    That's TODAY'S price. Tomorrow will be different.
