    Beagle won't pee outside
I recently got a beagle puppy and she refuses to pee or poo outside. I crate her at night and take her outside in the morning and she will not go, but then 2 minutes after I get in the house she will go. The same thing happens when I take her for an evening walk, she goes to the bathroom the minute we get inside, even though we've been outside for an hour. Usually the dogs I've had have wanted to go to the bathroom outside so I don't understand this.

Hello, I would continue to crate train. After cleaning up the dogs mess inside, Take it outside to the location where you want the dog to relieve itself so the scent is there. When taken outside, and the dog does not relieve itself, you must take back in and put back into the crate immediately and try again in 20 minutes or so and repeat. Puppies have very small bladders and have to go frequently, more or less like a baby. They must go outside every 2-3 hours. Is the dog going to the bathroom in the crate ? The crate must not be to big. This sounds mean but is the best way to train them. We just trained our Golden this way with huge success. Also a goody bag should be kept in your pocket hidden for when the dog does his duty, lots of praise to go along with that goody ! Scolding the dog does no good, there just a baby! The A.K.C. website can assist you further with puppy pottie training ! Good Luck !

Get a couple sheets of newspaper,3 pages thick . Put in middle of floor or near where she has been doing a nono. When she goes in the floor scold her a little.Put her on the paper, then to the door you usually use to take her out. Each time moving the paper closer to the door, then praise her with good dog or her name. Soon she will be going to the door every time. Also treats may help for a reward.

    I HOPE THIS HELPS... TAMMY
