    Gassy smell in bathroom
We recently had all new pvc piping installed under our tub by a licenced plumber.
We are now experiencing a gassy smell in the bathroom.
What is it, and is there anything we can do ourselves without calling the plumber back out?

    Hi Marcy,

Smells and weird noises in the wall are two of the most difficult to track down unless you're on site to sniff or listen. The work the plumber did should be under warranty. Since there was a problem after the plumber did the work you should call him back at no charge to you. If the plumber drags his feet about coming back click on back and I'll use your eyes and nose to see if we can nail down where the smell's coming from. Regards, Tom

Musky Smell In Bathroom [ 10 Answers ]

Lately I've been noticing a strange musky smell in my bathroom that seems to be coming from nowhere. This is a spare bathroom that isn't used much, but a few months ago I did some work where I replaced the toilet and used two wax gaskets to seal it. If there was a leak there, wouldn't it smell like...
