Can I-485 be approved bfore I-140?
    Hi,

I filed my I-140 and I-485 concurrently. According to the processing times issued by the USCIS, the I-485 might get processed before the I-140. My questions is: what happens then? Will the USCIS put my I-485 on hold until the I-140 is processed? Can the I-485 be approved before the I-140 gets approved?

    Thanks!

    Hi

I have the same situation, I just got my 485 approved before my 140, and then had my 140 denied.

Please tell me more about your experience.

Difference between I-140 & I-485 [ 1 Answers ]

Hi all, Just wanted to ask you if some one is on i140 or i485 are they allowed to work independently, can they call themselves as permanent residents of USA. If anyone has filled any of these forms, can they work for any other company without sponsorship, or they would still need one.
