Love to read true Stories.. Hard to find in our book store here in California Apprericate any suggestion. Like war stories Boat , etc.. Just finished reading a true story written by a good friend of ours jOHN SELLS Called.. ECHOES OF ANOTHER ERA. About his experience
As a young man out of high school into the Marine Corp due to Pear Harbor and in great detail of there invasion of Gualcanal and the last Guam where he lost his Sergeant who died in his arms. His job was a field telephone man in the thick of battle. Not all sad but lot of humor in his true story His name named by his Sergeant was Okie and his side kick who help him carry the wire called Lil Abner. Gosh cann!nt believe that my old friend John was able to achieve all these things! Thanks to his son who ask his Dad about his life hence he took a writing course and wrote this great true story.. Anyway sorry to get carry away with all this. Just need another good read.. Thanks Paul

Two good true stories I've read;

Reach For The Sky -
The life of Douglas Bader, a Spitfire pilot in WW2, lost his legs but carried on! The book shows what an arrogant arse he was too!

Rogue Trader -
The story of Nick Leeson, who bankrupted the Barings Bank when he gambled all their money on the stock market and lost! (Just like that French fella has just done!)
