Anyone remember the spanish/italian soap opera, "Maria, Maria" ?
I remember watching it as a child. For those of you who doesn't know what I'm referring to, it's about this girl named Maria. I think she was a shoe shiner or something and she falls in love with this really rich guy and he kind of falls in love with her too, and wants to marry her, but of course, his mother doesn't approve. And the whole series is about her getting back stabbed by the guy's mother, and trying to fit in... and I think at the end, she finds out that she's actually really rich or something, I don't remember! I think I was, like, 4 or 5 when I watched it with my mom... in subtitles. It must have been dubbed, because there is no way I could have read subtitles then.

ANYWAY, I've been looking for it everywhere!! On YouTube and other video-sharing sites. I can't even find any reference to it. I'm beginning to think that there is another title that this is referred as. But... I am so sure that it's called "Maria, Maria."

Can anyone help me? I want to watch it over again, I remember it was so good! I'm thinking that it's too old to be on YouTube, but there MUST be a copy of the series floating around somewhere to buy!!

Does anyone know which TV show I'm talking about?! Was I the only one watching this?? Aaaahhh! Help!

    Thnks.

I was looking for the same episode under 'maria maria' because when I was watching it as a child, I thot that's what it was called, but it turns out that it goes under the name 'maria la del barrio'... if you put that into YouTube, it shall show you some of the scenes... etc.
It was a really nice episode, haven't yet found the episodes in english sub, hopefuly there will be some :)
