    I live in a 40 year old house. I clean constantly, have had the ducts cleaned only a few months ago, change the filters regularly, have hard wood floors, have new furniture, do not have pets, take my shoes off when I enter my home, exfoliate every other day in the shower, live in the suburbs and I still have tremendous dust! I can't explain it. I've given up.

    I have always associated dust with an arid environment. Try hiring a humidifier for a few weeks & see if that helps, if it does, you can buy one. I have no other suggestions.
