    Want to auto disconnect AOL
Hi: I'm running XP and AOL9 w/ dial-up. Is there some way I can configure AOL to automatically disconnect? I've accidentally left my computer connected for hours and upon my return AOL is still running. I thought to use parental controls but this only works for 1 screen name at a time.

I even tried setting my computer to shut down automatically and figured if it shut down it would disconnect AOL--but with AOL running apparently my computer isn't idle so the computer won't automatically shut down.

    Thanks, Sandi

That's unusual. AOL will normally disconnect after a period of inactivity. Something on your system may be simulating activity that is keeping AOL connected. I would check for spyware.
