Thank you all, it is so weird that have the same issue. I get the same upper arm acne, seems to happen much more when my horomones are changing--i have had 3 kids and each time they have gotten bad. My husband who is an MD tells me its keratosis peloris. I pick at it when I am stressed or bored or mad. I was told to try birth controls that are known to help with regular acne, but I have not done this yet. It is totally emabrrassing, but to be hoinest it helps to know that I am not the only one!

There is actually a forum for questions, suggestions, and support for KP (Keratosis Pelaris) if anyone is interested.

Keratosis Pilaris Community - KP Community

And Marty, I might just have to switch to that BC. What I am currently on spaces out my cycle so it only comes every three months. And I love that, but knowing this I might have to switch.

Ya I'm 14 and I have them and they won't go away. And when I'm sitting there ill just like want to mess with my arms. Then when I go to school I feel so embarrassed when people ask me what's wrong with my arms. I try wearing quarter sleeves and that makes me feel less self conscious about it. But now its summer and when I'm wearing a bikini I never want to take off my rash guard cause I feel embarrassed about my arms. I also have bumps under my arms and I don't know how to get rid of them!

Please read the whole post. There is no cure for Keratosis Pilaris. I wear a sunless tanner when baring my arms... darker skin tends to hide the rash better.

I'm 13 and I have all these little tiny pimples on my arms and shoulders. I have some scars that stand out a lot, but for the most part, my skin is covered in these dark spots. It's really embarrassing and everyone always asks me what's wrong with my arms. Is there anything that can help my scars go away??

I use Bio-Oil to reduce the scars on my arms. It's like $15. I got mine at Walgreens.

Hi, I have had this problem also all my life. I have been to a skin Specialist and he said to me that it is not curable and it is something that you are born with he informed me that the little hairs on my arm were not letting my skin to breath so then it forms this problem, he basically told me that I should go out into the sun for a couple of minutes each day, and go to the beach and let the salt water clear it up. I consider myself to have it pretty bad but what he told me was the only thing that works. Of course in winter you can't really do this, but I was talking to a lady at a beauty salon one day and she said that a couple of her clients have it and they come in once a week to use the solarium and it keeps it under control (I have not yet tried this but am going to give it a go soon). I do believe that stress is the mine course of this happening though. THERE IS NO CREAM THAT I HAVE NOT TRIED. THEY DON'T WORK.
