    Cd Drive Not Writing
    I have upgraded to nero 7 but when i try to burn a cd the disc ejects and the run aborted.previous nero prg which came with the pc worked ok.the disc is also ejected when i try and write to it using my windows xp software.i can read from my drive so it seems to be working ok.
    Also how can i tell if i should be able to burn dvds.
    The question seems to be how can i check that my cd drive is working ok and what remedies are there?

    Unless the drive is a DVD burner you can't burn DVDs. Did you check to make sure Nero 7 supports your drive?

    2.how Can I Prove Whether Nero 7 Is Compatible With
    My Machine?

    Unless it Says DVD and RW on it its not a DVD burner.

    Check Nero's website for a list of supported drives.

    You can also check the drive's capabilities by going to:
    RIGHT-CLICK on MY COMPUTER > select MANAGE > follow to DEVICE MANAGER... (if you use windows that is)
