    IDlist error
I have tried Google with this and its only targeting laptops and wireless as far as I no I have tried all the advise found and need more help please
I'm not using wireless and I haven't downloaded any new software so I don't understand where this is coming from
Every 20 to 30 minutes or so anything that I'm working on will disappear and all I'm left with is my picture on my background then a message will come up

Windows cannot find '/idlist,: 836:2288,'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.

Every time the message appears the numbers change and most of the time it won't bring anything back up so I have to shutdown my laptop by pressing the button instead of normally
I have tried system restore but to no avail and I don't no how to reboot
Please please please help me. Thanks
    :(

When did this start happening? Did it start of nowhere? Was there any software installed recently?
Are you running any type of spyware protection? If want to take the time - you can go to start then run and in the run box type "msconfig" and write down everything down that has a checkmark in it and post that info here

Well of the above list you provided, all indications indicate that vtstr is some form of virus or malware and should be removed ASAP as this may be the cause - either way this needs to be removed

OPen your msconfig again and take the checkmark out of vtstr and click OK and then click the button that says "restart computer"

Open msconfig again after restart and make sure there is still no check mark in vtstr and close

Go to Start, Search then files or folders - then click "all files and folders"
In the search box, type vtstr*.*

Below of where you typed, vtstr*.*, go down to where it says "look in" and make sure it list Local Hard Drives in the box

    Now, click search

When search completes, you should have a couple of things come up
On each one that has vtstr, with mouse - right click on the file and choose delete
Once files are deleted, restart PC

    Hope this helps, Post back

Can you supply more info, as much as you can

The operating system you're running, and its version.

The exact text of the error message if possible, this may convey a lot of information.

If the problem is reproducible a summary of how to make it happen.

Any hardware add-on devices that you think might be related to the problem you're seeing.

A list of any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any software or hardware that you installed or setup.
