Can people in comas still hear what people around them are saying? Is there any solid proof either way?

I'm just going to say that apparently they can hear us as I've had a few friends in car accidents and so forth that could hear me.

And ill just tell you this story my Nanna before she died was in a coma and the nurses said she could hear me and the nurses were going to have to put a cathatar in her and my nanna hated them and she said if I ever had to have one of them again id rather die now before the nurses did it they told my nan and just before they were going to put it in she died. Now she was in her 91 st year

So I believe they can
