Does removing an IUD stop ovulation
My baby is almost 10 months old, and I am activley breast feeding. In June, I stopped taking the minipill and had a mirena IUD inserted; within 10 days I ovulated. (By the way this is the third time I use the mirena IUD, and I always continue ovulating right through it but never got pregnant on it.) Anyway, I continued ovulating and getting my periods on time, but the spotting and inability to loose weight really bothered me so I took it out in September. Two days after it was out, I got what seemed like my period, then after that, nothing. I think I'm not ovulating anymore, its been 3 months and it doesn't make sense to me that removing the IUD makes me stop ovulating, especially since I've always ovulated even when I've had it in.
I need to ovulate so I can stop being so irritable, so I can feel like myself again, so I can start losing weight, and so I can get back on my natural family planning method... please help!!
Are there any natural remedies or something that can kickstart my cycles or can "restart" me?
    Thanks

It shouldn't stop ovulation.. talk to your doctor about your cycle, they may be able to give you hormones to start ovulation.

The IUD has nothing at all to do with ovulation, whether that it is inserted or removed has no bearing on ovulation. The IUD simply makes the uterus a hostile environment for implantation to occur should fertilization take place.

Now, how do you know you are not ovulating? Are your periods out of whack?
