    Goodman furnace igniter stays on 20 sec with pilot light
    Have a Goodman forced air unit in my garage, was used only now and then, a while ago it started this... turn furnace on and igniter comes on and lights pilot then stops for a second then comes back on for about 20-30 seconds... all this time pilot is light and strong... then igniter stops and burners light to create heat... I have fully insulated my garage now and plan on heating it through the winter... this cycle happens every time the furnace is called on for heat... I am thinking maybe sensor at pilot is covered with soot.. model number on furnace is GDI075-3revs serial 901191122 it is about 15-18 years old... besides this clicking sound at start up it works fine... Help... Thank You

    Clean or replace the pilot/ignition sensor.
