Well filter is removed right now, due to wiring it up...

Would it matter that I replaced the furnace janitrol(downlfow) with an upflow furnace?

Ok I don't think the old janitrol was a down flow.. I mean the cold air was just like the lennox, except the filter was outsie the housing on the bottom right, the plenum was on top, with 6 inch duct for chimney in fron... so I am assuming it was upflow also... blower is on bottom..

So now what do I check for...

    Thanks for your help

OK on Filter... now what about blower, how can I get it to shutoff by itself... or is not kicking on because of the cold air?

Take the top door off in the middle of your furnace is a fan switch it might be covered by a silver box or you might have what's called a camstat where you will be able to see the temp settings let me know which one you have

It sounds like the camstat might be bad or the low speed on the blower windings are out you could try switching speeds the red wire is low yellow is medium and black is high try a different speed if that works then low speed is out if not replace the camstat
