It is very normal for your periods to be irregular in length, flow, frequency etc. when you are on birth control... and more commonly with the shot.
These symptoms should taper off in the next few months, and then most women on the depo shot stop having periods altogether.

I was on the shot for a whole year and never had a period. I can't remember what my first period was like once I got off it though. However, the shot did mess me up. I always had bad stomach pains and gained weight and made me very moody. I got off that crap. But, ever since I had this stupid discharge that won't go away and it's been almost 3 years. The doc says that it's normal and it will run it's course. Some women have discharge their whole life. I hate it but, learned to live with it. But, you sound o.k. Don't worry. I would consider getting off the shot and getting on the pill. All because has side affects but, I've heard the worse about the shot and the patches.

Yea I gained a decent amount of weight after I get on it. It really is not a good method of Birth Control to go on. I am most likely going on the pill again. I would highly recomment looking at all the side effects of the shot and consider that most of them do happen.
