That's like asking how we can eliminate body odor from the world. It's a nice idea - but it ain't going to happen.

Let's say we convince 99.9999999% of the world NOT to blow themselves up. That still leaves 1,000's of people who didn't listen.

Will agree, first you assume with that, when terrorists operte they do so in a sane and politically correct method.

Even politically incorrect there is no way to eradicate terroism, with extreme military force ( like Saddam used) one can make it harder, since anyone even looking like one would be killed. But as long as one crazy person is willing to die for something, terroism will never end

You can't defeat terrorism
Its not like there's one big country called "terrorism" that you can invade, destroy its military, and plant a flag in its capital.
Terrorism is enacted by many different nations, groups of people, beliefs, its not just muslims, environmental groups also commit terrorism.
As long as there are people willing to die for their beliefs, terrorism is a threat.
And the day people are not willing to die for their beliefs, is a very, very sad world.

There is no answer to your question, because in many ways the question is contradictory.

A sensible solution is not likely to be very politically correct, and a politically correct solution won't be very sensible.

Diplomatic solutions will not erradicate terrorism, and any attempt to erradicate terrorism cannot be diplomatic.

Innovative solutions have been tried and failed.

There is a sensible way to stop terrorism, but it isn't politically correct or diplomatic. And it won't erradicate terrorism. It will merely limit it.

So there is no such solution to terrorism as the one you describe in your question.

If you are interested in a solution to terrorism that is NOT politically correct or diplomatic, or even particularly innovative, but is sensible, let me know.

Just like the environmentalists don't want the dead brush to be cleared out of the forest and then we have the fires like California is going through now. We have the same problem with terrorism we are not allowed to 'profile' potential danger so just like the MRSA multiplies same with terrorism.

I will give you an idealistic way :

When people can agree to disagree, and it goes no further.

When people see things as us and what we have in common rather than them and how different they are.

When people go beyond themselves and think of the needs of others, rather than wanting more for themselves at the expense of others.

Simple, really.

Now how do we get the terrorists to agree?

Dekho bhai:) , ye jo terrorism hai na woh to duniya se mitana bahut mushkil hai. Jab tak log (i.e. terrorists) apne dimag me se terrorism ko nahi hata dete na tab tak ye duniya se nahi hat sakta. Iska ekdum sahi aur politically correct solution nikalna to bahut mushkil hoga... tujhe mil jaye to mujhe bhi batana... :)

It's a long term goal that can be achieved in generations to come IF we can send out more love and understanding into the world AND eliminate hatred and all the components that accompany it... jealousy, greed, anger, pride, lust, gluttony, sloth. It's a tall order! God has been working on it forever.

Other than all that, unfortunately there is no response that works for people who actually want to die.
