    Too much on a 200 amp panel?
    Well this is the first time I've been here so thanks for your time. My question is about a 200 amp
    Panel, I want to add a 220 for a hot tub but I am worried to ad this it would trip the main breaker. Here are the breakers that are now in the panel. Every spot in this panel is taken up so I would have to add a few more double breakers. Let me know if it is any good for me to try this out or if I would be setting up my main to flip. Thank you

    Would need Square footage of living area, Plus Name plate ratings.
    Furnass and AC's won't be used at the same time.
    Dryer on a 40 amp is a little odd, would check nameplate, Most are 30 Amp.
    I would Check the Water Heater name plate(Watts)40 Amps??
    InstaHeats can Draw 40 and way beyond. Most Regular? Are 20-30 Amps?

    OK here is what I have

    Kw----5.6 oven
    --------11 cook top
    -------9.6 furnace
    -------9.6 furnace
    -------4.4 ac
    -------7.2 ac

    I could not figure out the dryer I called the manufacture and asked them and they didn't know what the kw was so I figure its around 4.4 or 5

    Also on the w/h it says total kw is 4.5 but it also says on the w/h that it has a upper and lower that both have 4.5 kw so I figured id tell you.

    The jacuzzi that were installing is 5.5 kw

    Total sq is 3800

    Anything else let me know

    Gentlemen, there is enough information given to calculate the service load, hint, use Optional Heat larger than AC method .

    Yeah all of them are two pole I'm going to install the wire today hopefully its enough load.

    I guess no one else wants to answer.

    I arrive at a total connected load of 137 amps, without the hot tub.

    The service should not be loaded more than 80%, leaving 160 available amps.

    Assuming a 40 amp load (9600 watt) from the hot tub, adds up to 177 amps.

    Depending on the lifestyle of the home, and how many appliances and heat are used, you may have problems.
