    Well there a lot more than two but the main one was that the states would have to give up too much power to the central (federal) government. You may recall that the country fell apart under the Articles of Confederation because each state wanted to do it their own way. Another one was the same one raised against the Articles of Confederation-we are crown colonies and don't want to be branded as traitors to the king.
