Laws on rooming houses in Massachusetts?
Does someone need to get a permit to run a rooming house? Is there a certain number of roomies needed, to say it is a rooming house?

Check the health department regulations for Massachusetts. Lots of people rent out a room in their house without interference from the local authorities. A commercial rooming house should fall under a number of different regulations including zoning commission, health department, professional licensing board, state tax authorities, and maybr the community home owners association if one exists.
