    Converting a 3 prong to a 4 prong outlet
    My dryer is a 3 prong outlet and I moved to where there are 4 prong outlets, how can I hook it up?

    Red and black goes to the outer terminals. There's probably a strap connecting center terminal terminal to chassis ground, remove strap. White goes to center terminal,and green goes to chassis for ground

    I would get a 4 wire Dryer cord. The 2 hots usually connect to 2 of the 3 outside terminals on dryer. Then remove the strap that connects the case(connect ground wire there) should be white wires left on terminal, that is where the white goes.

    No problem, I didn't tell to get a 4 wire dryer cord though. We both had same answer and hopefully will help bellisa out
