    Pelvic pain
I've had pelvic pain throughout my entire pregnancy. I'm only 33w1d, and as of yesterday it is bad! Any movement whatsoever is absolute horror! My hips hurt, my tailbone hurts, and I'm getting shooting pains in my vagina. It's only when I move. I've been doing pelvic tilts in hope of easing some of the pain. Is there anything else I can do to ease the pain? I know I don't have much longer, but 7 weeks is a long time to not be able to move. It's terrible. Even moving my foot from gas to break pedal in the car hurts! It's crazy! What exactly is this from? Is it just from the relaxin, the pelvis spreading, or baby? Any guesses are appreciated at this point! Hope everyone is well!

Well I've had SPD for a while now and the physiotherapist suggested that I try to strengthen my stomach muscles so that I'm not stressing the pelvis area too much and I have since been able to manage the pain. You may want to speak to your doctor, I'm not saying that you have the same thing but the pain sounds all too familiar, unfortunately you will have to take things much easier than you have done before and I wouldn't advice driving or doing anything that aggrevates the pain. You could alternatively give the midwives a call (if you can). Good luck!

It's probably the baby settling down into the birth canal. At this point in your pregnancy the baby should be "dropping" or getting into the head down position and nestling in that canal. It's possible the baby just to trying to maneuver into that position and that is what is causing the pain.

I know my daughter had a habit of laying sideways... her head was on one side of my stomach and her feet were on the other... it was very uncomfortable! Haha! But once she figured her way around the pain lessened :)

Thanks ladies. I just got back from a quick trip to the grocery... and needless to say it was interresting! The more I would walk, it felt like he was playing with my cervix. Talk about painful! Guess I'll just have to take it easy today, and try some belly exercises.

Yes, please take it easy. Sounds to me like what I had with all 4 of mine. Baby resting on the sciatic nerve. Unfortunately, not much you can do about it.

That was the only part of pregnancy that I despised!!

Thanks J9. I too absolutely despise this part of pregnancy! Hopefully it will ease up a bit on its own.

Have you tried getting on your hands and knees, bowing your back and rocking gently back and forth? This can help ease that pain you are having.

I think I've tried just about every possible position! I was hopeful, cause my hip finally popped this morning, but that just helped my back. I'll just keep trying different positions to see if I can get him to move a bit. Hopefully something will work!
