    Blind spot, headaches
I suffer from headaches when concentrating at a distance, e.g. when driving and looking at a projection in lectures. This is happening almost daily. The headache is behind my right eye. I am short sighted and wear contacts. I have visited the optician and my prescription is fine, but they noticed I may have a blind spot in the upper, outer field of vision in my right eye. Could this be the cause of my headaches and is there a soloution?
    Many thanks.

They are described as "ice-pick" headaches. Hopefully the term describes your headaches. They are extremely painful.

You definitely should see an eye doctor. This could be a symptom of something more serious. If they find nothing, then you should see your family doctor. It's possible you are suffering from cluster headaches as well. However, don't mess around with your eyes. It's just not worth it!

You should really seen an ophthalmologist, I had severe headaches and after a few different specialists wound up being eventually referred to one. I will be getting prism glasses in 2 weeks. When your eyes are not working right it can really throw you off. Good luck to you.
