    Rar is a compression extension like a zip file that can be used to store several files in one while making the file smaller. You need a program to decompress the rar file. Winrar works well. WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files

    You cannot convert rar to mp3, if you have some files in a rar archive you will need to extract the files from it. I recommend you WinRAR download free as it is quite the best archiving tool out there. It's rather simple to unzip any files that are compressed in an archive.
