    Honeywell rth5100b thermostat
    My son in law god bless attempted to change the thermostat from an old honeywell mercury themostat to the above model but neglected to label the wires. We can get it turn off and on but the unit continues to run outside. What are the proper connections

    The normal wiring would be red wire to "R"( if it has a RC and an RH it will need a jumper between them) yellow to "Y" green to "G", white to "W". Good luck, Mike
