How to file a motion to dissolve a writ of garnishment
I see lots of post here about bank account garnishment, but no one every updates as to what steps they took after the fact. I'm wanting to know exactly what I need to do in order to file a motion to dissolve a writ of garnishment on my bank account? Has anyone had any luck with this as of yet?

I went to the office of the clerk looked at the documents due to the fact I've not received as of today any paperwork. Wrote down the plaintiff name and address, the case number. Then went to the clerks and received an exemption form, based on your state law that should determine what you can file as exempt. I filled out the exempt information, make sure to put the plaintiff information and your case number. I had to get it notarized, made 4 copies, 1-for the court, 1- for the plaintiff, 1 for the garnishee (my bank) and of course a copy for myself. Filed at the courthouse, mailed the copy to the plaintiff and walked in the copy to the bank. Now based on the information my attorney gave me I also attached a motion for dismissal based on the incorrect name of the garnishee. I am still waiting in limbo, but if you look at my file you will see that I have been posting updates as I go along. Hope this helps. ALso remember ever state is different on how they handle this so make sure you look up your state laws. If I can be of any further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me.
