    Water saver toilets
Why are they water saver toilets when you have to flush two or three times? I have changed all the parts. Cleaned it top to bottom and it is still a big problem. Is there any way to make these toilets work better other than changing the whole toilet?

Any help would be appreciated. I am a do it yourself single woman, so make any answers simple please.

    Thanks

Yes, for optimum use change to a standard flapper. Does your tank have a large plastic surround for the flapper? Is the tank a smaller version? Is it short? Make sure your water level is 1/4" below overflow. And single ply paper.

    Thanks Doug

I have changed different flappers 3 times. What does "standard" mean/look like? The toilet has a low tank The flapper is attached to a 3/4" tube that is about 5 inches long. It has little nubs that the flapper attaches to. The flapper sits on a white plastic ring that is the size of the flapper. It is not much larger than the flapper.

I recently installed several Mansfield water saver toilets and they do an amazing flush with under 2 gal of water. Some new toilets just aren't designed as well as others. Are you sure 100% that you have no obstruction in the drain? Use a toilet rodder to insure a clear drain.

The 5 inch pipe is a short pipe, you have a very low tank. On low flow toilets you need height to give momentum to the water. A standard flapper is the cheaper, common flapper. Most low flow toilets can be adjusted up to give a better flush, a few can not
