I stay on third floor and I have a problem with a lady who stays on 2nd floor. She called a cop once saying that she is annoyed with the sounds.Thats my fault as I was moving newly into the apartment and I had movers putting stuff in my house.But after 2 weeks , when I walk down the stairs , she opens the door and peeps through to see who is passing by corridor.
She really gives some weird looks.Then after few days she comes up to my home, says that she is getting disturbed by the sounds and stuff.She does not look normal by the way she was talking.She looks drunk and was blabbering something.

I am sure that I did not do anything that would annoy her.Is there a way to deal with this.Any advise,suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My apt has carpet.
I don't have children or pets.

You can talk to your apt manager or caretaker. Maybe he or she has knowledge of this person and if this person has done this complaining before.

Also, start writing these things down. The dates, times, what she says, how she looks, if you can smell alcohol, etc. You may never need it, but then again, you might.
