Are common stock dividends declared just prior to the end of a FY (06), but actually paid early in the following FY (07), included in the total amount of dividends "paid" during that FY (06)? Or, like I suspect, are they truly considered "paid" in the following FY (07) total? Thanks!

My Fiancé received a sign on bonus for 5K before she started work in June. It was not put on her W2. The tax form she did receive did not show that any taxes were taken out. Should she just add this amount to her wages box? Or where should she declare this as it has not already been taxed. ...

If a company lists a debit to dividends declared on their trial balance as an expense , how would this effect stockholders equity at period end? I do not think it would not be an adjusting entry to remove from expenses, but a reclassification entry but I am unsure of what entry to make:confused:
