    Winterizing windows
What is the best method of winterizering windows to prevent drafts and conserve heat. I used the transparant plastic sheets with hair dryer method and it was a back breaker. Is there an easier way?

I don't know much about this, but I can tell you to look up duke energy, that's our power company and there always sending me power saving tips as they call them and one of which is to do with your windows and how to conserve heat and cooling.

I will assume you have single pane glass, if so you may try and use some weather striping around the edges and underneath the sash. You may look at spending around 8 to 10 dollars a window

If you can afford it, replace your windows
