The Konqueror bundled with my Mandrake OS is faster than FireFox, but as it aged, it wouldn't work with more and more websites.

Why do people feel FireFox is a good web browser to use for fast web browsing and security?
I have tried FireFox before and don't like it as much as the version of IE I am using. I like to use a simple web browser and not one that is complicated to use such as FireFox.
